Crockett High School Class of '78 Wiki / Tournament Rules and Regulations

David Crockett High School, Austin, Texas, in the heart of South Austin

1) Scramble Format- Ladies: Red Tees, Men: White Tees. 1st Tee Time is at 10:00 am, with subsequent Tee times every ten minutes thereafter. Tee times are listed on the 'Pairings' page.

2) Follow ALL local Golf Course Rules. Golf Carts are NOT ALLOWED on the Tee Boxes or the Putting Green. Also prohibited is using Carts as "Bumper Cars", Driving them into ANY Water Hazard, Drag Racing, or attempting to jump great distances like Evel Kneivel.

3) Shirts must be worn AT ALL TIMES--This is a Course Rule, as well, but I mainly did it because of Evan Fingers' Group. The last thing we need is to have a group of 20-year old, wrinkle free,FLATBELLIES running around on the Course Shirtless. Our Female Classmates could cause a "LOGJAM" and I would like to be able to finish the round before our "40th Reunion" comes around.

4) You may move the ball, chosen to play, one (1) club length, no closer to the hole. ALL putts will be played from the original spot of the ball chosen. TEEING the ball up in the Fairway(Stephanie Schmidt) is NOT ALLOWED!!!

5) Turn in ALL Scorecards to the Asst Tournament Director, Mr.Bobby Wawak, when your team completes its round. ALL results will be announced at the Sat Night Event at Cool River. At that time, we will award the trophies and prizes. In case of a tie, a Scorecard Playoff, starting at hole #10, will be used. In the event that ALL 18 holes are tied, a Mud Wrestling match between Mary Beth Barber-Kelley and Dana Heiling-Eskew will decide the winner. Patty Fossett-Jackson and Molly Ward will be the "injury replacements", if necessary. I wonder how much money we could raise if we REALLY held those 2 matches??

6) Beverage Distribution - We WILL NOT be allowed to distribute beverages on the course. However, we will have Beer, Bottled Water, and Sport Drinks provided. Mike and Beth Green donated the funds to purchase the drinks. We will have the drinks at the Club House area, and if you will bring a small cooler, we will happily fill it up. You can then re-fill at the turn. When you are done, there will be more waiting for you, as well.

7) Mulligans and Skins - Mulligans can be purchased for $5 each (limit 2 per player). You may use ONLY 1 per side. This money will help defray costs of the Reunion. Mulligans can be used on the Green, as well. We will also offer a "Skins" Game. Cost is $20 per Team with ALL of this money to be used as "Prize" money. If no "skins"are won, all money is refundable. However you may want to donate to the Memorial Fund Terry Gladek is heading up. Skins are 2 tie, all tie with NO Carryovers. Prize money to be given out at Cool River.

8)Longest Drive Hole- #18 (Drive MUST be in Fairway) Mulligans CANNOT be used for this Contest

9)Closest to Pin Hole--#5 (Shortest Hole on Course, Ladies 83 yards, Men 93 yards) Mulligans CANNOT be used for this Contest

10) No-Shows-- In the unlikely event a Team member doesn’t show, the remaining 3 will play as 4. Each member will hit 2 shots AND putts on a ROTATION basis. Every third hole, basically. If you have questions, see me the day of the Tournament.

11) Volunteers- We are VERY fortunate to have Molly Ward, Marian Pearson, Terry Gladek and Danielle Hodges serve as Hostesses. They will sign the teams in, collect Mulligan and Skin Monies, and ride around the course making sure EVERYONE is having a GREAT time. Any HARRASSMENT of these WONDERFUL Ladies will meet with harsh penalties. They will be equipped with Pepper Spray and Tasers, and Molly is bringing a loaded weapon. My Boy, Drew Palmer, is the OFFICIAL MEDICAL OFFICER and TOURNAMENT PHOTOGRAPHER. He will have his Med kit, Cold Towels and will help with those who may "OVER-DO"it. I THANK ALL of the VOLUNTEERS.

12) Complaints - ANY and ALL complaints are to be directed to the Asst.Tourney Director, Mr Bobby Wawak. He will be more than happy to accomodate you.
