In Memoriam:

Jon Seymour

April 18, 1965 - October 3, 2009

Jon Alan Seymour, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, was needed in heaven and answered the Lord's call after a tragic motorcycle accident on the morning of October 3, 2009. Jon's family made the generous decision to donate his organs so his death will result in life-saving gifts to others.

Jon was born in Austin on April 18, 1965 to Billy and Binnie Seymour of Spicewood, Texas. He attended Crocket High School when he met the love of his life, Lori Rodriguez. They were married November 17, 1984. Jon and Lori were blessed with three beautiful children, Laurel, Lacey and Lance, and Jon's love for his family was readily apparent to all who knew him. As hard as he worked at the office, his family remained his number one priority.

Jon started life as a daredevil. At the age of three, his mother found him on the roof of the house. A frantic call to Jon's father resulted in directions to tell Jon to "shimmy down" the way he climbed up. Jon was also a gifted athlete and particularly excelled in baseball. More importantly, Jon was a sweet, gentle soul who accepted Christ at an early age. All who knew him will miss him deeply but can take comfort in knowing Jon is in a better place.

In addition to his parents, wife and children, Jon is survived by his sister Tammy, brother Billy Jr., father and mother-in-laws Loy and Oralia, brother and sister-in-laws Rick, Tim and Pam and nieces and nephews Aaron, Adam, Brandon, Kristen, Sarah, Patrick, Laura, Stephanie, Ricky and Andrew.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 8, 2009 from noon to1:00 pm at Lake Hills Church, 11521 FM 2244 (Bee Caves Rd), Austin, TX 78738. .A commemoration will follow at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Jon Seymour Memorial Fund and sent to W Highway 71, Ste. 340 #276, Austin, TX 78735.
