Saturday Morning on the Links:

Jeff is working on foursomes; watch him work his magic on the GolfPairings page.  Also, the Tournament Rules and Regulations are available for your perusal.

Jeff Shepperd is working on a class reunion golf tournament at Jimmy Clay on Saturday, June 21st. More details will post as they become available, but here is Jeff's latest request ~

Hey you guys. The Golf Tourney we are planning is open to all Chs 78 Grads and/or their spouses or significant others. What I need is to set up the teams according to Golf handicaps. I'm going to try and make the teams as even as possible. Here is what I'm thinking: 0-12 hcp are "A"players,13-18 are "B",19-30 are "C" and 30 + are "D". If you shoot, on average, a 95 , then you would be a "C " player, for example, as that would be 23 OVER par on a par 72 course. Everyone is welcome to play. The sign-in sheet is posted below. We will have a great time,as we always do.

Let me know sometime soon and I'll take it from there.

Esteemed colleagues ~

We are trying to get to sixty golfers so that it's a tournament and we have the course to ourselves, so we have worked to make the pricing very attractive if you pay in advance: $25 and you're good to go! Click here to download the form to order reunion event tickets (which includes golf), and have that form completed and postmarked by Saturday, June 7th. I don't know how Jeff will figure out the foursomes, but strongarm some friends and have some fun with it!

Jeff continues ~

The Tourney will begin at 9:00 a.m. I can ALREADY hear some of you future DRUNKARDS Screaming, "That's TOO Early". Well, here is what I say to that.. BOO HOO! NOBODY will make a bigger fool of themselves than I will. I have a track record. Just ask ANYONE who has seen me in action. Seriously, we need to start as close to 9:00 as possible. We will just have to play hung-over from Friday night, or we will have to leave the Friday night festivities at a reasonable hour. We want to try and get 60 players so we can shotgun start the event. If we do, we can start a little later, say 10:00. But if we have to go off on consecutive tee times, 9:00 is it. You can still party till 2 a.m. Friday, sleep a SOLID 5 hours, play Golf, then go to Garrison, back home for a 1 hr POWER Nap, then off to Cool River. Come on, once every 30 years isn't going to hurt you TOO bad. I tried to get all of you to join us at the prelim parties this past year. For all of you who did, it will FINALLY pay off. Have a great time at the Reunion, CHS '78!!
